April 1, 2019

MARINETTE, WI – Jon Strutz has been chosen as the Winsert Employee of the Year for 2018. Jon has been with Winsert for almost 12 years where he has worked as a CNC operator. Prior to that, Jon spent 25 years at American Excelsior.

What Jon enjoys the best about his job is the atmosphere. He said “Winsert is the best place” he ever worked. Jon is always willing to help anywhere he is needed. He is starting to think about retirement a little but wants to work a few more years.

Trisha Lemery, Winsert’s President & CEO, said “Jon is well deserving of this high recognition. He is one of our most knowledgeable CNC operators and an excellent trainer. Jon’s trainees have praised his patience and thoroughness and were extremely appreciative to have gained from his technical capabilities.”

Jon resides with his wife, Wendy in Marinette. They have two children, Kerry (fiancé Jason), William (Melissa) and grandchildren, Evan and Charlotte. Jon and Wendy travel to Chicago to visit their grandchildren as often as they can and enjoy spending time with them. Jon likes fishing and woodworking in his spare time.

Winsert is looking forward to another successful year in 2019. Employees like Jon are one of the reasons. A dinner and award presentation was held on March 29th, at Bergs’ Landing restaurant.
