General Summary:
Proficiently operate wax injection machines, perform inspection and repairs on wax molds, apply dip coating and invest the molds within specifications listed on mounting cards and data sheets. |
Essential Job Functions Include:
• Operate hydraulic & pneumatic wax injection machines, while producing wax molds within requirements
• Inspect wax molds for defects and repair as needed
• Assemble wax molds onto sprues, per mounting cards, for dipping and investment processes
• Measure an assortment of hazardous chemicals to produce mixture for coating & investment processes
• Apply coating to wax assemblies
• Prepare investment process cans & wax molds using hot wax to adhere assemblies together
• Track & maintain orders throughout investment processes
• Proper PPE attire required throughout all processes – Goggles, Face shield, Rubber Apron, Rubber Gloves, etc.
Secondary Job Functions:
- Yearly hazardous waste handling training
- Properly disposes hazardous waste per SDS
- Other duties as assigned

• Ability to use basic hand tools & power tools
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to use basic computer skills
• Correctly effects general housekeeping
Physical Demands:
- Requires prolonged sitting, standing, bending, stooping and stretching
- Requires the ability to lift 75 pounds
- Requires exposure to machines and chemicals
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity and a normal range of hearing and vision (with or without correction)
- Consistency and personal accountability are important attributes for this position
- Must be able to resolve problems on a daily basis, handle multi-tasking and make effective decisions
Education and Experience:
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
