Winsert Earns SBA HUBZone Status

Marinette, WI -- Winsert Incorporated, maker of precision cast valve-seat inserts for the automotive industries and other specialty alloys components has earned certification as a HUBZone supplier by the United States Small Business Administration. HUBZone stands for “Historically Underutilized Business Zone.”
Winsert is the only known valve seat insert supplier in the U.S. qualified as a HUBZone supplier. This entitles Winsert customers that conduct business with Federal agencies to leverage financial advantages as a matter of law and allows these customers to fulfill their federal commitments to supplier diversity.
The HUBZone designation allows new and existing customers to receive federally-supported financial benefits while taking advantage of Winsert’s industry-leading technology, products and services.
The HUBZone Empowerment Contracting Program stimulates economic development and creates jobs in urban and rural communities by providing Federal contracting preferences to small businesses. The United States Federal Government, as written into Public Law 105-135, requires its suppliers to allocate a minimum of 3% of their subcontracting purchases to certain disadvantaged small businesses including qualified business concerns located within designated HUBZones.
